Forces Of Valor 1:700 diecast model of the HMS Hood Admiral-Class battlecruiser from Battle of the Denmark Strait in 1941. Named after 18th century Admiral Samuel Hood, the Hood was the largest ever battlecruiser commissioned by the Royal Navy. At the outbreak of WWII, the Hood was operating between Iceland and Norway, protecting supply convoys crossing the Atlantic ocean from the United States. In 1941, the Hood was sent along with HMS Prince of Wales to intercept the German battleship Bismarck. During the battle, the Hood was struck several times, eventually causing a massive explosion, which led to its sinking. Measures 37cm in length. Display stand and 'ocean' display base included.
