12 Art Jaguar Mk.II 1960 - Regency Red w. Black Roof 1:12 model car Product Information

12 Art 1:12 resin model of the 1960 Jaguar Mk.II in Regency Red with a black roof. This, of course, is the car that was immortalised in the Inspector Morse TV series. It was Carlton Television's producers who put the Morse at the wheel of a 1960 Jaguar Mk.II. They obviously came to the view that it was the kind of car that would have been driven by the Oxford educated, crossword, opera and real ale loving detective. It seemed the perfect car, although John Thaw, who played Morde, did once admit that it 'was a beggar to drive'. But like it or not, the Regency Red 2.4 became as much a symbol of the series as the imposing spires of Oxford itself. Indeed, the car has been described as 'the most recognisable Jaguar Mk.II in the world'. And, in 2004, it beat James Bond's DB5 and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in a poll to find the UK's all-time favourite, famous car! 12 Art's 1:12 replica is, of course, totally true to the original, with its 248 RPA registration, solid hub caps, etc.
